Groke pouf
Groke, is a pouf with a unique (and literal) twist, and elegant silhouette, that is reminiscent of soft drapery in motion.
Imagery of furniture and objects covered in fabric sparked the concept for Groke. I envisioned casually throwing a piece of material over it, and through that motion and fluidity of fabric, came the form.
The result is a pouf that captures the fluidity of fabric in motion, blending dynamic and elegant form with a functional versatility.
With Groke, I tried to bring a unique twist to the minimalist design language often associated with poufs, and to embody both form and function.
Groke is a pouf with two parts, enabling a transformation from elegant to minimal, effortlessly.
It features a removable cover reminiscent of soft drapery in motion, this modularity enables it to adapt to different spaces.

The design seamlessly merges soft, inviting fabric with a minimal structure, offering a comfortable seating solution or a stylish footrest.
Groke is versatile and can complement a wide range of interiors from hotels to living rooms, lobbies, and studios. It can be adapted to different colours, and materials to affect the tone and moods, helping it sit within various environments and spaces.
There is potential for this product to be produced in different sizes (widths and heights), and materials.
The technique could be rolled out to other pieces of furniture like larger ottomans, armchairs, chaise lounges, and sofas – all using an interpretation of this folding technique. Additionally, some sections could be left smooth and fold-free, adding juxtaposition giving the pouf a cleaner, more refined and minimalist look.
Groke is a versatile object which can complement a range of interiors and environments, from hotels to living rooms, lobbies, studios, showrooms, stores, and waiting rooms.
